The Zoo

The day before Sarah and Joseph left we took them to the zoo. We have an amazing zoo here. They have a new stingray exhibit this summer. It was really neat. We were able to pet and hand feed them. After reading the sign that tells you that their teeth are capable of crushing a clam shell, I was a little nervous to stick my hand into the water. But I am still alive to blog about it! We also enjoyed watching the penguins get fed, a sea lion show, and a train ride around the zoo. Sarah, Joseph, Grandpa. Grandma, Joseph, and Me. Summer Fun!

My sister, Sarah, and her little boy, Joseph, came for two weeks in July. It was a blast. We went to the pool while they were here. Joseph loves playing with the cousins. 5 hours at the pool! Summer doesn't get much better than that!!

Sno Biz!!

My brother, Dan, introduced us to this snow cone place here in O'Fallon. All the kids love it! It's always a ton of fun!! Dan brings his pickup truck, and all the kids play and eat in the back. Sarah and Joseph came to visit. They got here middle of last week. They had never been to Sno Biz. Last night we met Dan and his kids and enjoyed a fun night at Sno Biz. It was a wonderful night. The weather was perfect!

The Slugs are Back!!

We like to tease my mom about being so excited about all the wildlife that we find!! We have had a lot of "the slugs are back!" moments. We had one this morning. My Mom called me into the kitchen to look out our kitchen window. We were very surprised to see what we did. We looked out our window to find this hawk sitting on our fence. He stayed there for about 20mins. It was crazy! We had been airing out our big van because of all the rain. He got pretty close to hopping in! It was a little scary. He finally flew away. It was fun to watch!!
