Thanksgiving... A month late!

I just got these pictures and wanted to share them with you all!

For the past several years we have gone down to my sister Joanna's house in Texas for Thanksgiving!! This year Jacob and Nanitzi have moved down there as well. It is always fun to be together with family! Catherine and John came with us to Texas this year. It was fun having them with us on the 10hr drive! We have also started this tradition of doing a 5K run/walk, called a Turkey Trot, in downtown Fort Worth on Thanksgiving morning. I guess the thinking behind it is... as long as you run 3 miles in the morning, you can eat as much Thanksgiving dinner as you want!!! At least that is what we do!!! :) Even last year when Andrew was working at Target and had to be here to work on Black Friday, we decided not to leave him here by himself on his last Thanksgiving home before his mission!! But.. we were still able to find a Turkey Trot here in St. Louis!!

Gingerbread Houses!

Last Saturday night Catherine and I made gingerbread houses. Hope you enjoy our pictures!

This past weekend we went down to Pea Ridge Christmas Tree Farm. We have gone there to cut down a tree ever since I can remember!! This year Ben came with us, along with Catherine and John. We introduced John to one of the many Moore family Christmas traditions! It was very fun. In keeping with Moore family Christmas tree tradition, we didn't all agree at first. Surprisingly enough, we found a tree we all liked! There weren't that many tears! :) Ben enjoyed helping Grandpa and Uncle John cut down the tree!

Blacksburg!

Ok, I admit I am a little slow with the whole blogging deal! During the first week of November, Mom and I went to Blacksburg ,VA to visit my sister Sarah, her husband Marc, and their little boy Joseph. We had a great time. We took Joseph to the park and the library and walked around downtown Blacksburg. It was really fun to just hang out and relax!! Here are a few of the pictures I took!! The leaves were at their peak when we were there! It was very beautiful!!! Enjoy!

I Passed!!!

Well, everyone, yesterday was my fifteenth birthday. For my birthday I went to go get my driving permit. I am excited to admit that I passed on my first try!!!! I only missed two questions. I was pretty happy!!! After dinner Dad took me driving around a church parking lot near our house. It was really fun! I don't think I scared him to much!!! :)

Christmas Cheer!

The other day Mom and I were looking at Target for some fun Christmas cards for friends and family. We found these which I thought were hilarious, and we wanted to share them with you! This was one of my favorites!

"Look buddy, we live next door, and all night long we've been puttin' up with the singing angels, the crying baby, the stinking frankincense, and that big, bright star. But I tell ya, that @$%& pa-rum-pa-pa-pum-pumming has gotta stop!"

Halloween!!

On Halloween night we went trick-or-treating with the grandkids! We all got into our costumes and went around getting candy and had a great time! Joseph wasn't quite sure what was going to happen, but after the first few houses where they gave him candy, he was running up every driveway to get more! Pumpkin Carving

On Thursday morning before the park I realized that Halloween was on Friday and I still hadn't carved my pumpkin. So I decided to carve my pumpkin that morning. What I didn't think about was that we were planning on watching my nieces and nephews. So my usual pumpkin carving as the youngest child of 8 was a little different this time around. My sister Sarah was assuring me that I had been lucky because this was what she had to deal with all the time!

A Day at the Park

On Thursday we thought it would be fun to take the grandkids to a park. Ben on top of the playground. Helping Grace on the monkey bars.

I know I had a really good time and I'm pretty sure everyone else had fun too. They didn't want to leave after about 2hrs. of playing! Joseph still asks if we can go to the playground.

Pumpkin Patch!

Yesterday Sarah and Joseph took the 10 hr. drive to come visit us, they got here around 6:30pm, and we are really enjoying having them here! Today we took the grandkids to a pumpkin patch. One of my mom's friends had told us about it and said it was a lot of fun! It was great! The little kids really enjoyed the sand box/jungle gym and we ate hot dogs and funnel cakes for lunch! (Everyone knows it's not a Moore family outing without food!). If you notice in the pictures you can tell that we all enjoyed the teeter totters and the really neat swing set that they had!

We wanted to get a picture of Grandma and Grandpa with the grandkids but it was a little more difficult than it looks!

We Got a Blog!

Welcome everyone to our blog. I have been debating on whether or not to start a blog for my parents/myself, but after a week of finding more and more people I know that have a blog, I finally decided to actually start one! As my mom says, "We are just trying to 'Keep up with the Joneses'."

This is our most recent family picture taken in December of 2006. Since then our family has grown even more with the addition of Catherine's husband John Rains, and Joanna and Ryan's little boy Carter.
