Murphy Home Makeover

A few weeks ago our good friends the Murphys moved to Germany. In their preparations to move they gave us so many wonderful things. One Monday morning we got a phone call from the Murphys asking us if we wanted their #10 cans of food storage. We appreciated their offer and were able to share much of the food storage with many of my siblings and their families. I think sister Murphy really caught "the vision of food storage"!! :) The most generous gift of all was their living room furniture. It's amazing how beautiful it looks in our living room. We LOVE it!!!!

We love the Murphys and appreciate their great friendship and everything they have done for us for so many years. Even though we miss them here, we hope they have a wonderful time in Germany and look foward to hearing all about their adventures!!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

For Christmas all of my siblings, my Dad's sister, and her husband went in on a snow blower for my Dad. We had a big snow a couple weeks ago, and Dad was able to try it out. It works really well. He was very anxious to try out his new toy! I especially like the fact that I don't get sent out to shovel our huge driveway! :) Thanks, everyone, for such a great gift!

A Week in Painting

This past week my brother-in-law Marc was here in town with my sister and their little boy. Marc was nice enough to help me paint my room. Thanks Marc!!!!! Those of you who have seen my parent’s house know that it is all white! White carpets, white walls and anything else you can think of!! Any of you that know my mom know how she loves her "white" house!! Some people were surprised that my mom let me paint my room something besides white. It took some time but I did convince her to let me paint!! It was a lot of fun! I love it, she even loves it, and hope you do too!!!!

Sock Hop

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Beauty and the Greasers Sock Hop put on by my drama group as a fundraiser for our upcoming production of "Beauty and the Beast". We had a lot of fun swing dancing, eating at Belle's 50's Dinner, and watching clips of old films at Lumiere's Drive In! It was a great night we all had fun. Hope you enjoy some of our pictures!
